GED Testing Center

In the State of Indiana, the High School Equivalency Exam (HSE) is an alternative for earning a high school diploma. There are 2 brands of tests you can take, the HiSET or GED, Area 30 offers the GED test. Your HSE Diploma can be earned after completing a test based on four subject areas (Math, Language Arts, Science, Social Studies). The skills you are taught and eventually tested on are at the same level as those of graduating high school seniors.

*PAYMENT: We can only accept cash payments for the testing fees listed below.

  • $180 for the full exam
  • $45 per section for re-tests

*PHOTO ID:
You must bring a photo ID that includes your birth date, such as a driver’s license or state ID. *Please note that if your ID is not an Indiana state ID, you will be required to provide additional documentation proving that you have lived in the state of Indiana for at least 30 days.

*SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR TEST TAKERS UNDER 18:
Test takers who are under 18 years old will be required to have a parent and/or guardian with them to register for the test, as well as the proper exit forms from school and the Superintendent’s signed recommendation form to take the HSE test. CANCELLATION POLICY
Please note that your fees will not be refunded if you cancel less than 48 hours in advance of the test or do not show up for the test.
